Kowloon Walled City Park sits on the very site of the former Kowloon Walled City,

In 1841, when Hong Kong Island was ceded to Britain, Kowloon Walled City was already a garrison and was reinforced by the Chinese Government.

This century-old Hong Kong institution is famed for its soybean dishes and is one of Hong Kong’s hidden gems. Its daofu fa, or sweet tofu, is lovingly dished out of a huge porcelain pot that’s been in use for over 40 years.
